What are the aquatic access control measures at TRAC?

We prioritise the safety and convenience of our members and guests. During peak periods, our facility enforces access control procedures to regulate capacity.

Lockout involves restricting entry to the pool or facility when the maximum capacity is reached. This restriction is in place to ensure that there is a manageable number of patrons within the facility at any given time. This allows our lifeguards and staff to effectively supervise all pool areas, reducing the risk of incidents related to overcrowding. The access control measure is triggered when the facility reaches its maximum capacity. Entry is granted on a one-in-one-out basis, allowing new patrons to enter as others leave TRAC.

To keep everyone informed, the current status will be displayed using a traffic light system on digital signage within the facility, as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Traffic light system

We use a real-time capacity update system using traffic lights during peak hours. The traffic light system offers a straightforward visual cue for everyone to easily view our current capacity status, providing clear indications of the optimal times for a swim.

Green light

When the green light is displayed it means TRAC is accepting patrons. No wait time, so come on in and enjoy the fun!

Orange light

The orange light signals that TRAC is nearing its maximum capacity. Please be advised that a lockout may be implemented shortly. As we approach capacity, anticipate a wait time of 30 to 60 minutes.

Red light

The red light indicates that TRAC has reached its maximum capacity, and a lockout is currently in effect. With the maximum capacity reached, anticipate a wait time of 90 minutes or more.
